This is an “Introduction to Wine” course, both fun and educational. The price includes the workbook, wine samples and exam. Lunch is also included, so it’s a great opportunity to try our food. Served at around 1pm (pre-ordering required). You will learn the main styles of wine, common wine grapes and their characteristics. The principles of food and wine pairing.

This course is really exciting. Again, a lot of fun but a lot to learn too. The price includes the study pack, wine samples and exam. We’ll explore the major grape varieties of the world and the regions in which they are grown. Through a combination of tasting and theory sessions you will learn how grape-growing and winemaking options influence the style and quality of wines made from the principal grape varieties. Key labelling terms used to indicate origin, style and quality. How to taste like a pro and much more.
Level 3 in Wine £845 Five consecutive Saturdays Starting 19th April 2025 10am - 5pm
Things get a little bit serious here (the fun element always present though) since more study hours must be devoted to the cause. More grape varieties and regions are covered. Winemaking and viticulture are looked into much more depth, and by the end of the course you will be able to translate information in a wine’s technical sheet and predict the style, structure, aromas and flavours of the wine without even tasting the wine! The price includes the study pack, wine samples and exam. You’ll learn: the key factors in the production of wine location such as grape growing, winemaking, maturation and bottling. How these key natural and human factors influence the key characteristics of the principal – still wines of the world – sparkling wines of the world – fortified wines of the world. How to apply your understanding to explain wine style and quality. Your tasting skills will reach a new high.
